It will be held Thursday, September 3rd, 2015 at Prairie Highlands Golf Course in Olathe. we are looking forward to offering tournament sponsorship and foursome discounts for the event. Registration will open online on Wednesday, July 15th. Here's a reminder for online registration. Early registration discounts will be offered through August 6th (where you can sign up for the golf tournament at our summer happy hour event), and registration will close August 31st. Join us for a summer happy hour at Maloney's Bar and Grill in Overland Park August 6th from 4-6pm on the rooftop deck. The Missouri-Kansas Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers is happy to announce the 2015-2016 scholarship award winners. The three winners are Daniel Ricker, Glynis Thompson, and Kaitlin Beeman.
Daniel Ricker will be a Junior in Architectural Engineering at the university of Kansas. He is involved in the Self Engineering Leadership Fellows (SELF) program and has interned with Paric Corporation in the St. Louis area during 2015. He is interested in pursuing a career in the fire protection industry. Glynis Thompson will be a Senior in Architectural Engineering at the University of Kansas. She has been a resident assistant at the university and is currently interning with Fire Dynamics, a division of Henderson Engineers in Kansas City. Kaitlin Beeman will be a Senior in Architectural Engineering at Kansas State University. At the university Kaitlin has served multiple important roles within the University Panhellenic Council. She has held internships at JE Dunn Construction and Burns & McDonnell, both in the Kansas City area, which led to her involvement and interest in fire suppression systems. The scholarships for local students is made possible by the annual golf tournament held by the chapter each fall.
